“A dash of milk in my tea hardly matters anyway.”

You had to see this one coming. Stay calm and pull out these numbers: If dad has had 4-5 cups of tea every day since forever, the numbers add up pretty quickly. And here´s another fact to throw at him: Brits drink 100 million cups daily, which is about 36 billion cups of tea per year, mostly (98%)* taken with a splash of milk approximately 5 ml per cup, bringing the total to 500,000 litres of milk per day or 182 million litres of dashes of cow’s milk that “hardly matters”. Imagine the massively positive effect on the planet if those 182 million litres were plant-based milk.
